Visiting country houses

Choose the programme that’s perfect for you!

On the Country House Trail, we can learn about the architectural traditions of bygone eras, try our hand at using period artefacts, go for a walk in the countryside, and then, refreshed after sampling local produce, return to our everyday lives.

Navigating the map:

  • Zoom in/out: use the + and – buttons in the bottom right-hand corner, or hold down the Ctrl key and scroll with the mouse.
  • Movement: drag the map with the mouse in the desired direction.
  • Full screen: click on the square icon in the top right-hand corner.

Finding gates:

  • The red dots indicate the Iron Curtain, whilst the green dots indicate the estates in the Heart of Transdanubia region.
  • Click on any point on the map and basic information about the site will appear in a small preview window.
  • Clicking on the „Detailed information” button will take you to the portal’s full introduction page.
  • On the homepage, you’ll find all the detailed programme information, dates and times, and everything else you need to know.
